Biography

Renowned for his knowledge and expertise in paediatrics, Dr Talal completed his training in Oxford and obtained a CCT in Paediatrics.

His wealth of experience comes from working at distinguished hospitals such as Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool, St Mary Hospital in Manchester, the John Radcliffe University Hospital Oxford, and Taunton & Somerset NHS Trust in the United Kingdom before coming to Dubai in 2010 to head the Paediatric Department in Mediclinic City Hospital and help set up the neonatal intensive care unit and general paediatric services.

In 2012, Dr Talal joined Somerset Clinic. He looks after all general paediatric cases, from coughs and colds and routine vaccinations to complex paediatric cases, including asthma, abdominal pain, headache, chest pain, persistent fever, cystic fibrosis, constipation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, and cardiac-related cases that need full heart assessment. He also liaises with internationally well-known children’s heart centres and hospitals for heart surgeries and complex children’s heart conditions. Dr Talal supports families with children from premature to newborn care to teenage years.

Dr Talal’s extensive hands-on experience in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICU) throughout his career in the UK gives new mums and dads complete reassurance that their little ones are in safe hands. He provides consultant-led in-patient care at Parkview Hospital Dubai.
